A Baby Girl Is On Her Way!

So, Paul and I had the 20 week ultrasound today and it revealed that we are going to have a girl! Everything appeared to be developing well and she was bouncing all over my belly! She even had the hiccups at one point:-) Paul and I feel so blessed and were reminded of how much of a miracle having a baby is. It was amazing to see the growth in our first ultrasound at 12weeks till now. We could see organs, her bones, and even her sticking her tongue out! She is about 11 ounces, so she has quite a few more pounds to pack on before she enters the world! Her heart rate was at 154 beats per minute and was going to town. It was truly amazing!

Here are some pics of the little lady and even a couple of videos, so make sure you scroll all of the way to the bottom:

Her shoulder and arm covering her face. She is a shy girl.

Sticking a leg up in the air!

Hiding her face again and not letting us see her face.

Profile shot.

Showing more leg. You can see part of her abdomen here.

Her foot is upside down here and you can see her little toes on the left!

The black spot by her ribs is either her heart or her stomach. They were both sort of in the same region.

She kept hiding her face when we were trying to get a good shot.

This is her female parts. One of many shots we saw that revealed no boy bits. The tech is 95% sure it's a girl, so we are going to go with it.

Another Baby in the Huizinga Clan

So, the Huizinga clan has welcomed the second baby to arrive this year. Maia Grace Boersma arrived at 11:21am and weighed 8lbs 1oz. She looks a ton like her dad! Gabbie and Alexa loved her to pieces and she slept most the time (aside from her bath).

Paul and I find out whether the third addition to this family is a boy or girl on Wednesday. We will keep you updated as soon as we know. Neither of us has an inkling as to what we are having, so it is all up in the air!

Quick Update at 18 Weeks

Nothing overly new. My belly is growing, and I am waiting to finally feel the baby move. It should happen any day!!
