New Blog
For those of you who follow my blog, I am planning on starting another blog purely for all of my crochet (thanks Lindsy G for mentioning this a few weeks ago in a comment). This is not to say that I won't post pics of my newest creations here, but I want to start offering a few free patterns I have come up with, and I am not sure how many of you are TRULY interested in knowing how to crochet a preemie beanie or a headband. Some of you may follow due to the crochet piece, but I am assuming most of you are here to read about my family, things that are happening with Paul and I, and occasionally to see what I may have created. I am positive that there will be some overlap, but I feel it is time to free all of you who aren't so much into the crochet :-) My new blog will be www.thedaintydaisyblog.blogspot.com. You can visit this blog to sign on as a follower (please do!), but I don't have anything posted quite yet. I promise I will have something soon. Thanks so much to those of you who find my life interesting enough to read about in this blog, and I hope you will follow along in my other blog if you like to know what my hands are crocheting!

Baby Booties and a Headband
I finally finished making up my own bootie pattern, and I must say that I am pleased with the final product. I tried them on Belle's feet and they looked so adorable! I wanted to eat her little toes! I decided to pair them with a headband...this also was so stinking cute on Belle's head! I promise to post pics of her tomorrow in her entire Easter outfit. My next step is writing out the patterns so I don't forget!

New Product
Infant Vest $20
So, I have been crocheting hats like a CRAZY woman, and felt the need to expand my horizon to something more. Today I crocheted a baby vest. My goodness did it turn out adorable! I am still figuring out sizing, but this one fits a 3-6 month old. Belle is a little big for it because she is such a chunker face, but it was still adorable to stretch onto her big belly. I should have taken a picture. I feel this sweater turned out pretty good and I can't wait to make a few more....and I am POSITIVE I will be adding flowers to it. How could I crochet a girly item without adding a lovely flower? :-)
On a similar note, Cricket and I seem to be booking craft shows left and right. Well, so far we are going to two of them, but it feels good that people have encouraged us to sign up based on the work they have seen of ours. We are newbies at this whole craft show thing.

Mom2Mom Sale
My sister and I are working hard at preparing items for the Mom2Mom sale at Cornerstone Church. We are extremely excited and my fingers are about to fall off from all of the crocheting that I have been doing! I hope that it is a success and I hope that those who can't make it check out my etsy shop at http://www.thedaintydaisy.etsy.com/. My etsy shop is rather new, so I appreciate any traffic and sales to get my started!
Check out my sister's blog to see what items she is selling. Cricket has made tons of burp cloths, hooded towels, pacifier clips, and has some gift sets. They are SOOO adorable! I am hoping that as her sister I get a discount! Go to The Potvin Family.
Below are pics of many of the items I have made. I am currently working on getting more boy hats, but it's so hard. Girly hats with big flowers are just way too cute!

Crochet Sites
I have had a few people message me and ask me where I get my patterns. I have made up a few of my own patterns, but have yet to write them out and put them out there for the world to see. Maybe I will get to this eventually.
Anyway, my two most favorite sites for patterns are:
Crochet Pattern Central and Ravelry
I have just been introduced to ravelry, but I was ecstatic when I found it! It has hundred and hundreds of patterns. Some of them are free, and others you can purchase. In general, it is patterns that are out there that other people have created and they are willing to share them with everyone else. For this, I am VERY grateful.
It's funny, because somehow my blog has turned into a crochet blog, although I still want to keep this blog true to sharing the life of my family. I created this blog to share what is happening with out family, but in many ways it has become a journal of our lives that I can look back on. Someday, I hope to be able to go back and show my kids all of the posts I wrote about them and what was happening in our lives at the time. In the midst of the family posts, they will be able to see how much their mom loves to crochet :-)

Etsy Shop
Okay, I have JUST started my Etsy shop. I only have 3 listings, but it's a start for now until I can focus more energy into it. Please pass along the link to anyone who is interested in buying a hat. I am very open to suggestions to make the site better. At the moment we are in the infancy stage.

Crochet, Crochet, and More Crochet
Our MOPS group at Cornerstone UMC raises money by having a Mom 2 Mom Sale. My sister, Cricket, and I decided to buy a booth and sell some of our homemade/handmade things. Cricket is the sewer. I attempted to sew a few things, but was easily frustrated and decided that fabric, a 1950s sewing machine, thread, and pins do not get along with me. So, I decided to stick to what I know and keep to crocheting. I have never really sold my things for money, so I am excited to see if anyone is interested in what I have made, I have been busy and my hands have been sore. My goal was to crochet one thing a day and I have pretty much stuck to my goal. I was a little bit behind, so I made three hats yesterday. I think my hands were going to fall off. Anyway, below are some of the things that I have made. If anyone sees something they like and wants me to make something for them let me know, or come to the Mom 2 Mom sale on March 20 and you can buy a hat and one of Cricket's burp rags or hooded towels! I have tons of different colors and any of the beanies can be modified to be more boyish with stripes rather than flowers added.
Flower Beanie--$15
